For DOD acquisition professionals, a new streamlined DAWIA certification program (often called Back-to-Basics) went into effect in February 2022. For federal government acquisition workforce members, a modernized contracting certification program went into effect in February 2023. As of October 1, 2023, courses that previously were part of training paths for DAWIA/FAC-C certification have now become legacy courses. These courses can continue to be taken primarily for elective credit.
