BMRA is seeking an experienced Federal Retirement Instructor to deliver retirement planning training to federal employees. The ideal candidate will have current, practical expertise in the Federal Employees Retirement System (FERS), federal benefits, retirement planning, and related financial topics.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver classes ranging from 2 hours to 16 hours in accordance with instructor guides, student materials, and published course descriptions to audiences of up to 30 students.
  • Stay aware of current developments and trends in federal retirement planning.
  • Apply principles of adult learning in course presentations.
  • Follow course schedules.
  • Provide feedback on course curriculum to the development team.

Qualifications

  • 5 years or more of recent experience with federal retirement planning, including the Federal Employees Retirement System (FERS).
  • Experience handling Law Enforcement Officer (LEO) provisions for retirement planning preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
