Course Description
This one-day introductory course contains an overview of the acquisition process with a focus on the basic roles and responsibilities of a Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR). The COR functions as the eyes and ears of the contracting officer, working to provide effective contract oversight. You will leave the class with a deeper appreciation of your role and responsibilities and understand how to communicate with each member of the government and contracting team.
Learning Objectives
- Describe the COR’s duties, responsibilities, and authority
- Identify issues affecting the COR throughout the acquisition process
- Explain how to maintain appropriate documentation and communication for the COR
- Determine how to use appropriate techniques to monitor contract performance through contract administration
