Course Description

This WarU (formerly DAU)-equivalent four-day course takes a team-based approach with hands-on learning activities following guidance in the Guidebook for the Acquisition of Services. You will work with peers to utilize the tools, techniques, and performance-based principles necessary for producing high-quality requirements documentation. You ill fortify skills in defining services requirements, supporting business programs, and contractor performance management.

Learning Objectives

  • Discuss and apply the seven-step service acquisition process
  • Apply best practices in requirements mapping for evaluation of contractor services
  • Practice principles of the service acquisition process through interactive, hands-on learning examples
  • Develop best processes for contractor selection and award
  • Assess the importance of the planning phase
  • Design an effective requirements document
  • Implement processes for selecting a contractor and assessing contract performance
